Chocolate will remain soft so that is why you need to store one layer thick in refrigerator.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups - packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cups - butter softened
- 1 cups - pecan halves
- 1 cups - coconut (optional)
- 1 cups - milk chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Combine flour, 1 cup of the brown sugar & butter. Beat at medium, speed 2-3 minutes or until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Pat onto bottom of ungreased 9 x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle pecans & coconut (optional) over crumb mixture.
2. Combine 2/3 Cup butter & remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar in small saucepan, cook & stir over medium heat until entire surface is bubbly. Cook & stir 1/2 to 1 minute more. Pour over pan, spreading evenly over crust.
3. Bake 350 degrees for 18-20 mins. or until entire surface is bubbly (do not over bake). Turn oven off. Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Place in warm over for 1-2 minutes until chips are soft enough to spread over the cookies. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Use sharp knife to cut into 48 bars. Store in refrigerator.
