Peanut Patties

Ingredients:

  1. 2 1/2 cups - sugar
  2. 2/3 cups - evaporated milk
  3. 2/3 cups - white corn syrup
  4. 3 cups - raw peanuts
  5. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  6. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1 teaspoons - butter
  8. 1/4 teaspoons - red food coloring

Directions:

Cook sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup and peanuts together for 1 hour and 10 minutes on low heat or until reaches hard ball stage on candy thermometer.

Add vanilla, salt, butter and red food coloring. Stir until mixture begins to lose shine, then dip out on wax paper or onto greased muffin tins.

Let dry.
