Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 8 pounds - brisket trimmed
- 1/3 cups - steak seasoning
- 1 envelopes - lipton onion soup mix
- 1/4 cups - chipotle seasoning optional
- 1/3 bottles - Italian salad dressing
- - water
Directions:
Trim excess fat from brisket, if not already trimmed. Rub steak seasoning, chipotle seasoning (if desired), and onion soup mix -- 1/2 of each ingredient into each side of the brisket. Place brisket fatty-side up in roaster pan and drizzle with Italian salad dressing. Pour about 2 cups of water around sides of brisket (not over top of brisket, as it will wash away rub and seasonings). Cover with foil (to keep aroma and moisture inside); place lid on top.
Place in oven at 225 degrees F and cook 8-10 hours until cooked through and tender.
Slice carefully (will be so tender, it will fall apart easily).
Remove juices from pan and use to make pan gravy, if desired.
