You will need to experiment to get the right batter. Try adding more flour or beer until it seems to be thick enough to not drop off the spoon or scoop without some help.

Ingredients:
- 4 - Eggs
- 1/2 liters - Milk
- 1/2 liters - Beer You can increase milk to 1 liter and skip this if you like
- 2 teaspoons - Baking soda
- 3 teaspoons - Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
- 200 grams - Sugar
- 40 grams - Raisins You can substitute finely chopped apples or mix apples and raisins
- 500 grams - Flour Add to make a thick batter
- 4 - Eggs
- 1/2 liters - Milk
- 1/2 liters - Beer You can increase milk to 1 liter and skip this if you like

Directions:
--Soak raisins in water
--Crack the eggs in a bowl and beat well
--Combine the baking soda, baking powder, salt with the milk/beer and add to the eggs.
--Mix well
--Add the flour to the mixture until you have a thick batter.
--Drain raisins/apples and add to mixture
--Mix through
--Allow to rest for 20 minutes, meanwhile, heat a pan with vegetable oil to 190 degrees Celsius (375 F)
--Pour, with the help of an ice cream scoop, batter in the oil. They will float after a few seconds, flip them over after 1 to 2 minutes and fry on the other side for 2 minutes
--Drain on kitchen paper and shake in a brown paper bag with sugar and cinnamon or powdered sugar to cover
--Cooking timing varies based on their size.
