*Omit salt if using self-rising flour. Also, 2 tablespoons of regular milk and 1 beaten egg can be substituted for 1/2 cup of canned milk.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups - Boiling Water
- 1 cups - Oatmeal
- 1 sticks - Butter
- 1 cups - Brown Sugar
- 1 cups - White Sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - Vanilla
- 2 whole - Eggs beaten well
- 1 teaspoons - Soda
- 1 teaspoons - Salt*
- 1 1/3 cups - Flour*
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - Nutmeg
- 1 sticks - Butter
- 1 cups - Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups - Canned Milk
- 1 cups - Pecans chopped
- 1 cups - Coconut
Directions:
In a large saucepan, pour boiling water over the oatmeal and let boil for 1 minute. Add butter, sugars, and vanilla, cooking just enough to let butter melt. Remove from heat and let cool. When completely cool, add eggs, soda, salt, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg, mixing well. Pour batter into baking pans and bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes.
Icing:
Combine margarine, sugar, and milk in a saucepan and cook for 3 minutes at medium heat. Add pecans, coconut, and egg. Spread on top of cake and bake an additional 5 minutes.
