Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - brown sugar, packed
  2. 1/4 cups - Blue Bonnet margarine
  3. 6 cups - Cheerios
  4. 1/2 cups - slivered almonds
  5. 1/2 cups - dark corn syrup
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1 cups - pecan halves, walnut halves OR peanuts

Directions:

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Brush cookie sheet with margarine.

Heat brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes; remove from heat.

Stir in cereal and nuts until well coated. Spread mixture in pan.

Bake 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.

Loosen mixture with metal spatula; let stand until firm, about 1 hour.

Store in covered container (makes about 8 cups).
