Mexican Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pounds - lean ground beef
  2. 1 - onion chopped
  3. 1/2 teaspoons - garlic salt
  4. 8 ounces - tomato sauce
  5. 1 cups - sour cream
  6. 1 cups - cottage cheese
  7. 8 ounces - can chopped green chilies
  8. 1/2 pounds - Monterey Jack cheese grated
  9. 1 packages - tortilla chips 6 oz.

Directions:

Brown onion with ground beef. Add tomato sauce.

Combine in a bowl: sour cream, cottage cheese, and green chilies.

In 2-1/2 quart greased casserole dish, add ½ of the chips slightly crushed, ½ meat mixture, ½ sour cream mixture and ½ cheese. Repeat- save some tortilla chips for garnish. Mexican hot sauce can be added to tomato sauce or salsa to sour cream mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees F until bubbly.
