Meringue cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 3 - egg whites
  2. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  3. 1/4 teaspoons - cream of tartar
  4. dashes - salt
  5. 1 cups - sugar
  6. 1 cups - chocolate chips or mint chocolate

Directions:

1. Have egg whites at room temp (bowl must be very clean)
2. Add vanilla, cream of tartar, and dash of salt.
3. Beat until it holds a peak (must have electric mixer)
4. Add sugar about 1 T. at a time, over about 10 min beating until very stiff peaks form.
5. Cover baking sheet with white or brown paper.
6. Stir in chocolate chips now and drop by teaspoon on the paper, do not let them touch or get too close.
7. Bake at 300 for about 25 min.
