Mediterranean Ground Lamb

  1. 1 pounds - ground lamb
  2. 3/4 teaspoons - salt
  3. 2 teaspoons - dried rosemary
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - dried thyme
  5. 1 teaspoons - dried oregano
  6. 1 1/4 teaspoons - garlic powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - onion powder
  8. 1/4 teaspoons - cumin powder


1) Use a mortar and pestle to grind the rosemary, thyme, and oregano into a powder. Combine with the other spices.

2) Put the lamb in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the spices.

3) Mix the lamb and spices thoroughly (I recommend using your hands and food-grade gloves).

4) Cook however you'd like. Lamb burger patties are delicious. I usually cook in a pan on the stovetop over medium/high heat with a wooden spatula, mixing constantly to break up big chunks - that gives you the most options, such as service with rice or making lamb nachos and you can always put it on a burger bun anyway.
