- 3 pounds - shredded cabbage mixture
- 1 - medium onion chopped finely
- 2 cups - sugar
- 1 1/3 cups - cider vinegar
- 1 cups - canola oil
- 1 tablespoons - salt
- 3/4 tablespoons - pepper
Toss together cabbage mixture, chopped onion and sugar; set aside. This will shrink.
Combine vinegar, oil, salt and pepper in saucepan and bring to a boil. Let cool slightly.
Pour over cabbage mixture and stir. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Best if in fridge for 24 hours.
Keeps for 3 weeks in refrigerator.
