Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds - medium-sized brussels sprouts cleaned, loose leaves removed, cut in half
- 1/4 cups - olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 1 teaspoons - black pepper
- 1/4 packages - thick-cut bacon diced
- 1/4 cups - maple syrup
Directions:
Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
Toss Brussels sprout halves with olive oil, salt and pepper; spread on a foil-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes or until starting to brown and crisp. Remove from oven and set aside.
In a medium saute pan, cook bacon over medium-high heat until cooked through and crispy. Add cooked Brussels sprouts and maple syrup to pan. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Cook just until syrup thickens slightly and sprouts are coated and heated through, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
