Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - butter softened
  2. 6 - eggs beaten
  3. 3 teaspoons - almond extract
  4. 2 cups - sugar
  5. 2 teaspoons - vanilla
  6. 6 cups - flour
  7. 1 teaspoons - salt
  8. 4 teaspoons - baking powder
  9. 2 cups - sliced almonds

Directions:

• Cream together butter, eggs, extracts & sugar.

• In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt & baking powder.

• Combine wet & dry ingredients.

• Gently add almonds.

• Form dough into loaves.

• Bake @ 325 until golden brown.

• Slice warm.

• Place side down on the cookie sheet.

• Return bread to the hot, but turned off oven for 30 minutes to dry.
