Today we celebrate St. Patrick's day. It's turned into a fun time to meet up with friends and let your hair down, just a bit. I like the fact that everyone is thinking "green." When it comes to your health, , eating green vegetables is one of the best things you can do. In fact, the health benefits can be profound. Not everyone loves to eat greens. Here's my favorite green smoothie recipe. Because you're including fruit (especially the banana,) you hardly notice the greens!

Ingredients:
- 3 cups - of greens (any kind - spinach, kale, chard, etc.)
- 1/2 - banana
- 1 - cup frozen fruit (I like strawberries or peaches. You can also use blueberries, pineapple, or mango)
- 16 - oz. filtered water (start here and use more to get your favorite consistency)
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth (2-3 minutes.) Enjoy!
