Lobster Dipping Sauce

  1. 3/4 cups - dry white wine
  2. 1/4 cups - lemon juice
  3. 1/4 cups - minced shallot
  4. 4 tablespoons - unsalted butter
  5. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  6. 1 tablespoons - water
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons - flour


Bring white wine, lemon juice and shallot to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the shallot is softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the butter and salt; whisk until the butter is melted.

In a small bowl, combine the water and flour, mixing thoroughly. Whisk this into the sauce and cook, continuing to whisk, until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 2 minutes.
