Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 3/4 cups - Butter, softened
  2. 1 cups - White sugar
  3. 1 - Egg
  4. 2 tablespoons - Corn syrup
  5. 2 teaspoons - Lemon extract
  6. 1 - Lemon
  7. 2 cups - All purpose flour
  8. 1 teaspoons - Baking soda
  9. 1 teaspoons - Baking powder
  10. - Extra sugar for rolling dough in

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 .
Combine flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In mixing bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar.
Beat in egg, corn syrup, lemon extract, and zest of the lemon.
Reserve lemon juice for making a glaze ( optional) .
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Cover dough and chill 1 hour.
Form dough into walnut sized balls. Roll in sugar.
Place on parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on wire rack.
