Ingredients:
- 2/3 cups - olive oil
- 2/3 cups - freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cups - fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoons - salt
- 1/2 teaspoons - freshly ground pepper
- 1 pounds - dried spaghetti
- 1/3 cups - chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoons - grated lemon zest
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk the olive oil, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, 3/4 t salt, and 1/2 t pepper. Set sauce aside.
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, add spaghetti, stirring occasionally for about 8 minutes until al dente. Drain, saving 1 cup of pasta water. Add spaghetti to the sauce and toss with basil and lemon zest. Add pasta water, 1/4 cup at a time to moisten. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
