Lemon Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  1. 4 tablespoons - butter
  2. 3/4 cups - sugar
  3. 2 - eggs
  4. 2 teaspoons - grated lemon peel
  5. 2 cups - flour
  6. 2 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
  7. 1 teaspoons - salt
  8. 3/4 cups - milk
  9. 1/2 cups - walnuts chopped
  10. 2 teaspoons - lemon juice
  11. 2 tablespoons - sugar

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and lemon peel and mix.

Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Stir in walnuts.

Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees F for 50-55 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling.

Combine lemon juice and sugar for glaze.

Store overnight.
