Ingredients:

  1. 3 cups - ricotta or creamy cottage cheese
  2. 1/2 cups - grated parmesan or romano cheese
  3. 2 tablespoons - parsley flakes
  4. 2 - eggs beaten
  5. 2 teaspoons - salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - pepper
  7. 1 pounds - mozzarella cheese slices
  8. 1 pounds - Italian sausage
  9. 1 cloves - garlic minced
  10. 1 tablespoons - whole basil
  11. 1 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  12. 1 pounds - can tomatoes (or 2 cups)
  13. 2 cans - 6 oz. each tomato paste (about 1-1/3 cups)
  14. 10 ounces - wide lasagna noodles

Directions:

Brown sausage, drain fat and add sauce ingredients; simmer uncovered 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook noodles, drain and rinse. Combine rest of ingredients except mozzarella cheese slices.

Place half of noodles in 9-x-13-inch pan, spread with half of cottage cheese mixture, half of mozzarella cheese, half of meat sauce; repeat layers.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes.

IF MADE EARLY: Refrigerate until ready to bake. Cook for 10 minutes longer.
