Ingredients:

  1. 1 packages - yeast
  2. 1 cups - warm water
  3. 1 cups - scalded milk
  4. 1/4 cups - butter
  5. 1/2 cups - sugar
  6. 1 pinchs - salt
  7. 1/4 cups - wheat germ optional
  8. 1 - egg
  9. 3 cups - flour
  10. - melted butter for brushing

Directions:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, wheat germ, and egg, and mix well.
Put butter in warm milk; add to yeast mixture.
Stir in flour until a dough consistency is reached (could use between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 cups). Place dough in greased bowl and cover; let rise until double, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down (add flour, if needed). Pinch off roll-size pieces and place in greased baking pan. Let rise 'til double, about 30 minutes.
Bake at 350° F for 20 minutes. Brush with melted butter before serving.
