Ingredients:
- 1/3 cups - oatmeal
- 1 cans - 6 oz. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 pounds - ground beef
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cups - yellow onion diced finely
- 2 tablespoons - A-1 sauce
- 1 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons - Tabasco sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 1 teaspoons - black pepper
- 3 tablespoons - vegetable oil
- 1/2 cups - yellow onion diced finely
- 2 tablespoons - flour
- 1 cans - 12 oz. diced tomatoes
- 1 cups - water
- 1/4 cups - catsup
- 1 teaspoons - vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoons - chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons - salt
Directions:
For Meat Loaf:
Soak the oatmeal in the tomato juice for 3 minutes. Combine the remaining ingredients by hand and mix well. Mold into a ring shape in a large cast iron skillet. Bake at 350 degrees F until brown, about 45-60 minutes. Top with sauce (below).
For Sauce:
Heat the vegetable oil. Add the onion and saute until transparent. Add the flour and lightly brown. Add the remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer until the tomatoes are tender. Baste the cooked meatloaf and serve.
