Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces - to 3 oz. good quality bourbon (preferably Rye whiskey)
- 2 dashes - Angostura bitters or to taste
- 1 - large segment orange peel
- 1 teaspoons - simple syrup see note for rosemary infused simple syrup
- 1 - to 2 Luxardo cherries for garnish
Directions:
Simple Syrup Note:
Simple syrup is a 1/1 ration sugar/water. Preferably brown sugar or monk fruit for healthier alternative. Cook with rosemary sprig to infuse flavor into the syrup. Can be stored in the refrigerator for a week for making cocktails.
For Drink:
Add the bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass.
Next, turn on your smoking gun and infuse the mixing glass with rosemary smoke for 1-2 minutes; cap the mixing glass so the smoke is trapped into the pitcher. Swirl the bourbon around and then pour it into a old fashioned glass filled with ice (or single large ice cube).
Take the orange peel and swirl around the rim of the glass and then add to the drink.
Garnish with the luxardo cherries (optional, add a sprig of rosemary for extra garnish).
Enjoy!
