Ingredients:

  1. 3/4 cups - butter
  2. 2/3 cups - sugar
  3. 1 - egg
  4. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  5. 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
  8. - jam

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter with sugar in a large bowl. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.

Combine flour, baking powder and cinnamon and add gradually to creamed mixture, blending well after each addition.

Divide into 4 equal portions, rolling each into cylinders about 12 inches long. Transfer to baking sheet.

Make an indentation down center of cylinder about 1/8-inch deep (like a trough) and fill with jam in center.

Bake until golden (about 15 minutes). Let cool slightly and then slice cylinders diagonally into cookies, 3/4-inch wide.
