Italian Sausage from Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pounds - breakfast sausage
  2. 1 teaspoons - fennel seeds (must have!)
  3. 1 teaspoons - dried basil
  4. 1 teaspoons - dried oregano
  5. 1 teaspoons - garlic powder
  6. 1 teaspoons - dried parsley
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - onion powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - dried rosemary
  9. 1/2 teaspoons - black pepper
  10. - one pinch of red pepper flakes (or more if you like it hot)

Directions:

Using your hands, mix together the crumbled sausage with all of the spices until they are really well-mixed and spices are evenly distributed.

Now it's ready to be used just like a store-bought pound of Italian sausage, like with tomato sauce over fresh pasta!
