Directions:

Stir together first 5 ingredients. Work in shortening. Add milk. Add raisins, courants, and caraway seeds. Mix thoroughly. Turn into 9" greased pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm in wedges or slices. Spread with butter and/or jelly if desired.
