Hot German Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  1. 6 - potatoes (medium - large)
  2. 6 - bacon slices cut into bite size pieces before cooking
  3. 1 - onion (large) diced
  4. 1/2 cups - vinegar
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons - salt (to taste)
  6. 2 tablespoons - sugar (to taste)

Directions:

Boil the unpeeled potatoes until almost cooked thru. Fry the bacon. Remove bacon from skillet and fry onion in bacon fat until brown. Cut potatoes in 1/2 to 1 inch chunks. Add to skillet plus vinegar, bacon pieces, salt and sugar. Gently mix over low heat. Serve.

Can be made ahead of time. Do not overcook potatoes
