Hot Crab Dip Appetizer

Ingredients:

  1. - Fresh or canned crab meat, 1-2 cans
  2. 1 sticks - Real butter
  3. 2 packages - Lrg. pkg. cream cheese
  4. 2 whole - Medium-sized onions Chopped very finely
  5. - Mayonnaise (real mayo) Add for consistency
  6. - Pepper, to taste
  7. - Cooking sherry, to taste
  8. - Lemon juice, to taste

Directions:

1. Drain canned crab meat.
2. Melt together the stick of butter and the 2 pkg. cream cheese. Cool.
3. Saute finely chopped onions in small amount of butter. Mix w/ cheese mixture.
4. Add mayonnaise until you reach the right consistency and taste. Add crab meat. Add pepper to taste.
5. Just prior to serving, add cooking sherry and lemon juice, to taste.
6. Serve in warm chafing dish.
