Hillary Clinton's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 cups - Flour
  2. 1 teaspoons - Salt
  3. 1 teaspoons - Baking soda
  4. 1 cups - Shortening
  5. 1 cups - Packed brown sugar
  6. 1/2 cups - Sugar
  7. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  8. 2 - Eggs
  9. 2 cups - Old-fashioned rolled oats
  10. 1 packages - 12-oz. Semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350. Grease baking sheets.
2. Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
3. In separate bowl, beat together shortening, both sugars and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy Gradually beat in flour mixture and rolled oats. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 min. or until golden. Cool cookies on sheets on wire rack 2 minutes. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.
