Healthy Weekend Waffles

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - Whole wheat flour
  2. 1 teaspoons - Baking powder
  3. 1 dashes - Salt
  4. 1 tablespoons - Sugar
  5. 1 teaspoons - Cinnamon
  6. 1 whole - Egg
  7. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla extract
  8. 1 cups - Milk

Directions:

Preheat waffle iron and grease or spray with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon. In a small bowl, beat the egg with the vanilla and milk. Add to the dry ingredients and mix well. For fun, add a few drops of food coloring to the batter. Cook according to your waffle iron's directions. Serve with jam and/or maple syrup and butter.
