Ingredients:
- 2 pounds - (1 Kg) frozen McCain hash brown potatoes
- 1/2 cups - melted butter
- 2 cups - sour cream (500 mL)
- 3/4 cups - chopped onion
- 2 cups - shredded old cheddar cheese
- 1 cans - cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 teaspoons - salt
- - pepper to taste
- 1 cups - crushed corn flakes
- 1/3 cups - melted butter
Directions:
Melt butter and pour over hash browns in bowl. Mix. Leave this for a while.
Mix remaining ingredients, except for topping, in another bowl. Pour this mixture over the potatoes and mix well.
Pour into a 9-x-13-inch pan.
For Topping: Mix corn flakes with melted butter and spread over top of potatoes.
Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour.
Can be made a day ahead; reheats well.
