Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 2 pounds - (1 Kg) frozen McCain hash brown potatoes
  2. 1/2 cups - melted butter
  3. 2 cups - sour cream (500 mL)
  4. 3/4 cups - chopped onion
  5. 2 cups - shredded old cheddar cheese
  6. 1 cans - cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
  7. 1 teaspoons - salt
  8. - pepper to taste
  9. 1 cups - crushed corn flakes
  10. 1/3 cups - melted butter

Directions:

Melt butter and pour over hash browns in bowl. Mix. Leave this for a while.

Mix remaining ingredients, except for topping, in another bowl. Pour this mixture over the potatoes and mix well.

Pour into a 9-x-13-inch pan.

For Topping: Mix corn flakes with melted butter and spread over top of potatoes.

Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour.

Can be made a day ahead; reheats well.
