Grits au Gratin

Ingredients:

  1. 3 cups - water
  2. 1 teaspoons - salt
  3. 3/4 sticks - margarine
  4. 3/4 cups - white grits
  5. 1/2 pounds - cheese or Velveeta

Directions:

Stir together water, salt, margarine and grits and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat; stir in cheese.
Pour into buttered casserole dish and bake about 1 hour at 250° F.
