Green Beans in Shallot Butter

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 pounds - green beans
  2. 2 tablespoons - butter
  3. 1/4 cups - shallots minced
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  5. 1/4 teaspoons - black pepper

Directions:

1. Add water to just below the bottom of steamer basket. Bring water to boil. Add beans to steamer basket. Cover and steam for 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp-tender.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add shallots. Cook and stir for 1 minute. Add beans, salt and pepper to skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more or until heated through.
