Key points: The more beans, the more water, the longer it takes. larger batches reduce water, about 1 inch down from level of beans. MUST reduce all water to concentrate bacon flavor. There will always be some liquid left but make sure it is mostly bacon fat and not water. Add more pepper to taste. If you are truly a glutton for rich food, add a couple tablespoons of butter at the very end.

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds - Green beens fresh or frozen cut
- 1/2 pounds - Quality thick sliced bacon cut in 1/2 pcs
- 1 cubes - ham bullion or soup base
- 1 teaspoons - coarse pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons - liquid smoke
- 2 pounds - Green beens fresh or frozen cut
- 1/2 pounds - Quality thick sliced bacon cut in 1/2 pcs
- 1 cubes - ham bullion or soup base
- 1 teaspoons - coarse pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons - liquid smoke
Directions:
Place snapped beans and bacon in medium sauce pan. Add water to level of beans. Add ham bullion cube or soup base. Beef can be substituted. Add pepper and liquid smoke. Turn on med-hi heat with lid tilted. Reduce heat when water is nearly gone. Boil until no water remains.
