Ingredients:
- 2 - ripe grapefruit
- 4 cups - lemon-lime soda
- 1 1/4 cups - sugar
- 1 tablespoons - fresh lemon juice
- - lime slices optional
Directions:
Cut grapefruit in half, remove seeds. Scoop out sections and squeeze into blender or food processor. Add sections and process until pureed and smooth.
Strain over large bowl, rubbing pulp back and forth with back of wooden spoon. Discard pulp.
Heat the lemon-lime soda and add sugar. Stir until sugar melts. Pour into a large, shallow stainless steel bowl. Cool.
Stir in lemon juice. Add pureed/strained grapefruit; stir and mix. Freeze, removing every few hours and beating until frothy. This will become partially like a slush.
Serve in individual dishes or tall champagne glasses with slice of lime for garnish.
