Ingredients:
- 1 boxes - Large, old-fashioned oatmeal
- 8 ounces - coconut
- 1/2 cups - -2/3 c. water
- 1 1/2 cups - vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons - vanilla
- 2 cups - brown sugar
- 1 boxes - raisins
- 1 boxes - small, Grape Nuts
Directions:
Combine oatmeal and coconut in a large bowl. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, oil, water, and vanilla and bring to a boil. Pour over oatmeal and spread in two large flat pans. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Turn oven off and let oatmeal sit for 2 hours in oven.
Soak raisins in water for 1/2 hour. Add to oatmeal and return to oven at 350° for 10 minutes.
Add grape nuts and mix well.
