Grandma used to make large batches of these and then freeze them in smaller quantities for when guests or company were in town.

Ingredients:
- 3/4 cups - Sugar
- 1 sticks - Margarine
- 1 whole - Egg
- 1 1/2 cups - Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons - Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons - Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons - Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons - Vanilla
Directions:
Cream together sugar and margarine. Add egg and beat well.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Roll dough into 2-inch balls and roll in sugar (place sugar in a small bowl, drop dough ball into sugar and roll briefly). Place dough ball on greased baking sheet and slightly flatten.
Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes (not too long - if starting to brown, remove from oven immediately).
