Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 jars - dill pickles
- 1 cups - gluten free flour
- 1 cups - milk
- 1 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoons - paprika
- 1/2 teaspoons - black pepper
- 1 pinchs - cayenne pepper
- 1 cups - gluten free bread crumbs
- - oil for frying
Directions:
Fill a sauce pan with at least one inch of oil, and heat over medium-low heat.
Place pickle slices on a paper towel to drain off excess liquid, drying them off as well as possible.
In a large bowl combine the gluten-free flour, milk, baking powder, egg, paprika, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix together until a thick batter forms.
Dip each pickle in the batter to coat well. Then, dip the battered pickle in gluten free breadcrumbs to coat, and allow each pickle to rest with this mixture on it for at least 5 minutes.
Place the battered pickle in the hot oil and fry for at least five minutes, or until the coating is golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
