- 2 tablespoons - dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons - salad oil
- 2 tablespoons - fresh ginger chopped
- 1 tablespoons - cornstarch
- 1 tablespoons - water
- 1/4 cups - beef stock
- 1 1/2 tablespoons - soy sauce
- 1 teaspoons - sugar
- 1 - small clove garlic smashed

Directions:
1. Cut meat into strips about 1/8 inch thick.
2. Combine the stock, soy sauce, sherry and sugar; set aside.
3. Heat oil in a large frying pan; sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute. Add meat and onions to the hot pan and stir-fry over high heat, shaking the pan to keep meat from sticking.
4. When meat is almost completely browned, pour in the stock mixture; cover and simmer for about 3 minutes.
5. Mix cornstarch and mater; gradually stir into the liquid in the pan.
6. Cook until slightly thickened, stirring to coat meat.
7. Serve immediately with steamed rice, a green vegetable, and a fruit salad if you wish.
