German Pancake with Buttermilk Syrup

Ingredients:

  1. 6 whole - eggs
  2. 1 cups - 2% milk
  3. 1 cups - flour
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  5. 2 tablespoons - butter melted
  6. 1 1/2 cups - sugar
  7. 3/4 cups - buttermilk
  8. 1/2 cups - butte
  9. 2 tablespoons - corn syrup
  10. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  11. 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  12. - Confectioner's sugar for dusting pancake

Directions:

1. In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, flour and salt; cover and process until smooth.

2. Pour the butter into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish; add the batter. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 20 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the first five syrup ingredients; bring to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla.

4. Dust pancake with confectioners' sugar; serve immediately with the syrup.

Yield: 8 servings and about 2 cups syrup.
