French Toast in a Mug

  1. 1 tablespoons - melted butter
  2. 2 slices - bread cubed
  3. 1 - egg
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons - milk
  6. 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - vanilla
  8. - powdered sugar and syrup optional, for topping


Melt butter in microwave, then coat sides of the mug with it to prevent sticking.

Whisk the egg in the mug; then add milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, mixing well.

Add cubed bread, allowing to soak for 1 minute (gently stir bread around to make sure all pieces are coated evenly).

Microwave on High for about 90 seconds, checking every 30 seconds until egg is completely cooked. Top with powdered sugar and syrup, if desired, and enjoy.
