French Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  1. 3 - bacon slices
  2. 2 pounds - meat in chunks
  3. 1 cups - dry red wine
  4. 1 - bouillon cube
  5. 2 cloves - garlic
  6. 2 - onions
  7. 2 teaspoons - salt
  8. 1/4 teaspoons - thyme leave
  9. - strip of orange peel
  10. 3/4 pounds - mushrooms
  11. 2 tablespoons - cornstarch
  12. 1/2 cups - olives

Directions:

Brown the meat then add the onions. Add garlic until aromatic. Add to beef stock with other ingredients.

Cook to taste approximately 2 hours, until meat is tender.
