Family Holidays Slow Cooker Crockpot Make-Ahead Party Large groups

Notes:
This is great for family reunions! We usually serve it over Labor Day weekend. Several steps can be prepped in advance, then warm the chili mixture in a crockpot. A little prep work in advance makes for a simple but satisfying meal for a large family. Don't be afraid to stack your plate with the things that sound like strange combinations. It's all very good together!

Ingredients:
- 2 cans - tomato puree
- 2 1/2 tablespoons - garlic salt more or less, to taste
- 46 ounces - Ranch Style beans
- 3 bags - corn chips (2 bags crushed for layering)
- 1 boxes - (large) instant rice cooked by directions
- 1 pounds - cheese grated
- 2 heads - lettuce chopped
- 7 - fresh tomatoes diced
- 1 1/2 jars - chopped green olives
- 1 packages - 10 to 12 oz. chopped pecans
- 1 packages - coconut flakes
- 1 jars - 1o to 12 oz. salsa
- 4 pounds - hamburger
- 6 - onions chopped (set aside 1/2)
- 2 cans - diced tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons - chili powder
- 1 cans - (large) tomato sauce
Directions:
Chili meat sauce mixture:
Brown meat with 1/2 of chopped onions, and drain. Add diced tomatoes, chili powder, tomato sauce, tomato puree, garlic salt and Ranch Style beans. Simmer for one hour. (Chili mixture may be frozen at this point for future use).
Serve remaining ingredients buffet style in the order listed above. Making a bed on the plate beginning with crushed chips and chili meat sauce and add each ingredient as desired.
Save one bag of chips to be served whole for dipping.
