Easy Jambalaya Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - large onion chopped
  2. 1 - medium bell pepper chopped
  3. 4 stalks - celery chopped
  4. 3 cloves - garlic minced
  5. 1 cans - (28 oz) diced tomatoes undrained
  6. 1 packages - turkey kielbasa sliced
  7. 1 tablespoons - parsley flakes
  8. 1 teaspoons - salt
  9. 2 teaspoons - black pepper
  10. 4 dashes - hot pepper sauce
  11. 3/4 pounds - uncooked, deveined and peeled shrimp (thawed if frozen), tail shells removed
  12. 1 - shrimp/crab boil pack
  13. - Brown rice optional

Directions:

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray.

Add all ingredients (including boil packet), except rice and shrimp. Stir to incorporate.

Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours (or high for 3 to 4 hours).

Stir in shrimp 30 minutes prior to serving. Continue cooking until shrimp is pink and firm.

Remove shrimp/crab boil packet and discard.

Serve with rice, if desired.
