Ingredients:
- 4 cups - water
- 2 cups - sugar
- 1 tablespoons - salt
- 1 cups - lard
- 4 - beaten eggs
- 1 packages - yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
- 15 cups - flour more or less to make soft dough
Directions:
Boil water. Pour it over the sugar, salt, and lard.
Add eggs and yeast with water.
Add flour to make a soft dough; it will still be soft, sticky.
Let rise 4 to 5 hours until double. Punch down; let rise 3 to 4 hours longer.
Shape into walnut size balls; put on cookie sheet. Let rise 10 to 12 hours or overnight.
Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees F.
