Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - dates cut
  2. 1/2 cups - rolled oat
  3. 3 tablespoons - margarine
  4. 2/3 cups - scalded milk
  5. 1 cups - pastry flour
  6. 2 teaspoons - baking powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  8. 1/4 cups - brown sugar
  9. 1/4 cups - corn syrup
  10. 1 - egg well beaten
  11. 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla
  12. 1 cups - dates cut
  13. 1/2 cups - rolled oat
  14. 3 tablespoons - margarine
  15. 2/3 cups - scalded milk
  16. 1 cups - pastry flour
  17. 2 teaspoons - baking powder
  18. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  19. 1/4 cups - brown sugar
  20. 1/4 cups - corn syrup
  21. 1 - egg well beaten
  22. 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla

Directions:

1. Combine dates, oats, margarine and scalded milk. Stir and cool.
2. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, egg and vanilla.
3. Add flour, salt and baking powder.
4. Line a 4.5 x 8.5 loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 45-50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
