Ingredients:
- 1 cups - dates cut
- 1/2 cups - rolled oat
- 3 tablespoons - margarine
- 2/3 cups - scalded milk
- 1 cups - pastry flour
- 2 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar
- 1/4 cups - corn syrup
- 1 - egg well beaten
- 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla
- 1 cups - dates cut
- 1/2 cups - rolled oat
- 3 tablespoons - margarine
- 2/3 cups - scalded milk
- 1 cups - pastry flour
- 2 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar
- 1/4 cups - corn syrup
- 1 - egg well beaten
- 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla
Directions:
1. Combine dates, oats, margarine and scalded milk. Stir and cool.
2. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, egg and vanilla.
3. Add flour, salt and baking powder.
4. Line a 4.5 x 8.5 loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 45-50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
