Ingredients:
- Iced Sugar Cookies
- 1 cups - shortening
- 1 cups - sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups - flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoons - salt
- 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
- Butter Frosting
- 1/4 cups - butter or margarine
- 2 cups - powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla
- 2 tablespoons - milk
- Cream Frosting
- 2 cups - powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla
- 3 tablespoons - milk
Directions:
Cookies:
Cream together shortening and sugar well. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients into the shortening/sugar mixture. Chill for 3 hours.
Roll, cut out and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Butter Frosting:
Cream together butter and sugar. Stir in vanilla; add milk gradually and beat until frosting is right consistency for decorating.
Cream Frosting:
Add vanilla to powdered sugar; add milk gradually and beat until frosting is of right consistency for decorating.
