Ingredients:
- 5 pounds - Chili meat
- 12 cups - water I use less - about 8
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - black pepper
- 1 teaspoons - Ground Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoons - ground Oregano
- 1 teaspoons - ground cumin
- 1 teaspoons - Crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoons - granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons - minced onion (dry)
- 2 tablespoons - Salt
- 5 tablespoons - Chili powder
- 4 tablespoons - cornstarch
Directions:
In a large pot, brown the meat. Add chili powder and stir into the browning meat as it becomes brown.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Add the remaining spcies and cook 2-3 hours on medium heat with lid on, stirring regularly.
Mix cornstarch in 3 cups of water and pour slowly while stirring into hot chili.
Continue cooking an additional hour on low heat, stirring regularly.
