Cowboy Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 6 - large eggs
  2. 2 cups - milk
  3. 1 teaspoons - salt
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - ground black pepper
  5. 1 teaspoons - dry mustard
  6. 4 slices - white bread toasted and cut into cubes
  7. 1 packages - pork sausage crumbled and browned
  8. 1 1/2 cups - grated cheddar cheese

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, crack eggs and beat until frothy. Add milk, salt, pepper and dry mustard. Mix thoroughly until combined.

Butter the inside of a 9-x-13-inch baking dish. Cover bottom of dish with toasted bread cubes. Layer the browned pork sausage over the top of the bread and sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the sausage.

Give the egg mixture a quick stir and then pour over the top of the cheese, sausage and bread. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and then remove casserole from the refrigerator, uncover and place in the oven for 45 minutes.

Your hot and hearty breakfast is ready to serve with coffee, milk or juice.
