Corn Fritters

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - corn fresh or canned
  2. 1 teaspoons - salt
  3. 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
  4. 1 - egg
  5. 1 teaspoons - melted butter
  6. 1/2 cups - milk
  7. 2 cups - flour
  8. 2 teaspoons - baking powder
  9. - powdered sugar for dusting after cooking

Directions:

Chop corn very fine and add salt, pepper, well-beaten egg, melted butter, milk, flour and baking powder.

Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep hot fat (360 to 370 degrees F). Fry 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.

Drain onto paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
