Ingredients:
- 2 cups - corn fresh or canned
- 1 teaspoons - salt
- 1/8 teaspoons - pepper
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoons - melted butter
- 1/2 cups - milk
- 2 cups - flour
- 2 teaspoons - baking powder
- - powdered sugar for dusting after cooking
Directions:
Chop corn very fine and add salt, pepper, well-beaten egg, melted butter, milk, flour and baking powder.
Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep hot fat (360 to 370 degrees F). Fry 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.
Drain onto paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
