Corn Fritters

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - egg
  2. 1/2 cups - milk
  3. 1 cans - corn undrained, 12 oz.
  4. 1 tablespoons - peanut oil
  5. 1 1/2 cups - flour
  6. 1 tablespoons - baking powder
  7. 1 teaspoons - salt
  8. 1 dashes - pepper
  9. - oil for frying
  10. - maple syrup optional, for serving with

Directions:

Beat egg in a large bowl. Stir in milk, corn and oil. Beat in baking powder, flour, salt and pepper.

Drop tablespoons of the mixture into hot oil (375). Fry until golden brown, 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

If desired, serve with maple syrup.
