Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pints - Evaporated milk
  2. - A little cream
  3. 1 cups - Mashed potato water
  4. 1 tablespoons - Salt
  5. 2 teaspoons - Baking powder
  6. 1 teaspoons - Baking soda
  7. - Flour
  8. 2 - Pkgs of yeast
  9. 1/2 cups - Warm water
  10. - Dash of sugar
  11. - Melted butter
  12. 3 teaspoons - Cinnamon
  13. 2 1/2 cups - Sugar

Directions:

Oven - 375
Sprinkle yeast over 1/2 cup warm water, add dash of sugar. Let sit for 10 mins.
Combine milk, cream, potato water, melted shortening and salt.
Add enough flour to get cake batter consistency.
Add baking powder and baking soda (mix with small amount of flour first) .
Beat well.
Add enough flour to roll easily.
Allow to raise about 2 hours.
Roll out in rectangle.
Spread with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Roll up like a jelly roll and slice into rounds.
Put into greased cake pans ( dozen in a pan?) .
Let rise 1 hour. Can freeze at this point?
Bake 15-20 minutes.
Glaze with confectioner's sugar glaze.
